Johnston Reunion 2008

June 28, was the Johnston family reunion. This year it was held in the Vici, Oklahoma, school cafeteria. Around 30 people attended. The lunch was catered by a local lady. She served a down home meal which the main course was chicken fried steak. Imagine that!! We enjoyed our visit with Clark's relatives and then visited the Everett's in Woodward while we were in the area.

Job Search is Complete

My search for employment is now complete. I will be working for Mustang High School beginning in August 2008. I am so excited and Clark is so glad that the search is complete!! I was about to drive him crazy debated the best choice to make and in a fog when I hadn't made closure. Thanks be to God for guiding me in the right direction. The position is a new position, site test coordinator. I will be organizing the EOI (end of instruction testing) for the high school. This will consist of organizing who tests when and where, conducting the staff development for testing administrators, and tracking the students progress of tests taken and passed. In my down time, I will also be continuing my principal internship at the high school. Life is such an adventure!!

Ty's Toothless Again

Ty lost one of his front teeth at Gay's on Monday, 6-23 then the second one came out on Wednesday, 6-25. Now can sing, "All I want for my birthday is my two front teeth." He has quite a lisp.

Memorial Weekend

We spent Memorial Weekend at Waurika Lake with Momma and Brad and the gang. It was quite windy. One night the winds reached around 100 mph hitting our fifth wheel broadsided. It was quite scary. The rest of the weekend went well. We didn't spend much time in the lake due to the winds, but at least we weren't drowned rats this year. Hendrix spent one night with us (almost 2 months old) and Michael enjoyed fishing off of the boat.

Summer is finally here.

When does the fun begin. Our summer has been so full already. I am still interviewing for principal positions and I hope to know where I will be soon. Michael goes to church camp on June 15 and we have the Johnston family reunion on June 28. Only 25 more days until Clark and I leave for our cruise!!!
